When I changed my mindset to “Traveller Referee” I ended up as a Solomani with some Aslan. This was probably because I like to treat the PCs unfairly, and I like violence in our games…

Funny thing. I like violence in my games to - I love to see the group get into fire fights. With CT being so bloody deadly it makes for some interesting times and of course new character creation.
However, the group I have now - sans the Ret. Marine Col. - are all by their own definition… Chickens.
Thus far they have been very good at avoiding the fire fights - much to my disappointment. However, considering that usually when I run OD&D or AD&D 1e the groups tend to lean toward the hack and slash types. So having a group the uses brains over brawn has actually become quite refreshing.
